Use of systems and devices

Fireball Suppression Services provides fire suppression systems and devices designed to supplement systems and devices required by law. Its systems and devices are also designed to supplement other traditional fire suppression and extinguishing systems and devices. The best fire protection is via a combination of methods.

Elide Fire Extinguishing Ball devices, systems incorporating these devices and and other systems and devices sold or installed by Fireball Suppression Services do not replace fire extinguishing apparatuses required by law, such as fire extinguishers and smoke detectors. Fireball Suppression Services’ systems and devices are to be used in addition to such regulated apparatuses. Where such requirements apply, such as in buildings or structures, Fireball Suppression Services’ systems and devices are held out to be secondary devices only, designed to supplement apparatuses required by law, and to protect assets above and beyond legal requirements.

Fireball Suppression Services does not represent that its products are for “building fire safety” or are “fire safety installations” within the meaning of the Building Act 1975 or the Fire Services Act 1990 and, as such, does not represent that the installation of its products fulfil any requirement to install “fire safety installations”. Any such determination must be done by the purchaser of Fireball Suppression Services’ goods and services.

Fireball Suppression Services does not represent that its products or its works will result in any compliance with the requirements of the “building assessment provisions” as defined in the Building Act 1975, including the Building Code of Australia, whether as an accepted solution, an alternative solution or otherwise. Any such determination must be done by the purchaser of Fireball Suppression Services’ goods and services.

Standards / quality

Elide Fire Extinguishing Ball devices are not designed to or certified against an AS/NZS standard, including AS/NZS 1841.1:2007 Portable fire extinguishers. To understand what Elide Fire Extinguishing Ball devices are certified against and conform with, visit LINK HERE.

Our characterisation of Elide Fire Extinguishing Ball devices as having certain performance characteristics and suitability for application, such as to specific classes of fire, is based on information provided to us by the manufacturer, distributor and others who sell or supply the devices.

Work undertaken by Fireball Suppression Services

Fireball Suppression Services is not licensed by the QBCC in relation to “fire protection work” as defined in the Queensland Building and Construction Commission Act 1991 and, as such, does not do any work in relation to buildings or part of a building.

Fireball Suppression Services does not “certify” within the meaning of that Act and associated Regulation. Any such certification must be done by the purchaser of Fireball Suppression Services’ goods and services.
